Work or Retire is Chapter Two of 1 in 6 by 2030, in which a group of global photographers documented over 35 stories of elders who are faced with the same question: Should they retire, or keep working?

⁣By the year 2030, workers over the age of 55 are set to equal one-quarter of the global labor force. One study predicts that 150 million jobs worldwide will shift to that age group – a number almost equal to the entire working population of the U.S. today.⁣⁣ All kinds of factors contribute to whether people choose to retire or to keep working – economic need, cultural norms, lifestyles and more.⁣⁣ This is the story of Kristi Anne Nadvornik.
